Comments from Phil:

Like "Godrilla", this movie was written by Derek and then handed off to me to basically do everything else, and it was quite an adventure! But it was a lot of fun, and there were chances to do things I've wanted to do in our movies before. First of all, there is a bit of a horror element, and I've always thought it would be cool to do a "guy gets chased by monster thing" scene. Second, we included some old ideas that never made it into a final movie, such as the nicely decorated kitchen and the "fight" scene, if you can call it that. On the other side of things, there was a lot more going on behind the scenes this time, as I had recently acquired a new high definition camera, the Canon HV20 (which would account for the large file size, in case you were wondering), as well as a nice shotgun microphone and some lights. Oh, the joys of income! This was the first significant thing we filmed with all the new equipment, so that was both exciting and frustrating. Just ask Chris and Derek about the lighting and camera focusing...not much fun for actors waiting around to do their parts. But they pulled through (like they had a choice!) and did a superb job. This was a much more physical movie, and they both had to go through a good amount of torture, from Derek having to wear a newspaper-stuffed cow costume while taking orders about lighting from me, and Chris having to scream his brains out for half the movie. But hey, it looks good, it's funny, it's sad, it's triumphant, and a lot of hard work went into it. We have a winner!
