Derek's commentary:

I've always wanted to do something sorta fairy-tale like. I had an idea called "The Ash Garden" where a giant ash creature did... I don't know, something. Obviously it didn't get very far -- but it eventually mutated into this here Ashby, a satire of the sort of preachy, brain-washing "lesson" ads that were drilled into my head as a child while trying to watch Ninja Turtles.

I think you can still see some fairy-tale aspects in it, which I like. Anyway, special thanks to Phil and Azure for great performances. Visit Azure at her website if you're interested in having her do some voice acting for you.

2008 revision: I went back and did all original music, re-drew a few scenes, etc. Check it out!

Trivia:

- In the narrator's line "But one day, the big fat murky mass..." the word "But" is actually me (Derek).
It was a last minute addition and I didn't want to delay releasing just to get one word recorded from Phil.

- Ashby is the second Trashimation to have a female cast member

- Smoking does not cause AIDS or diabetes. So relax. Puff away and get cancer, king of diseases!
